2020 is really not a peaceful year, in the 4th.quarter of this year, let’s take ease and we would like to share with you an important holiday which is Mid-Autumn Festival in Taiwan is coming soon.
Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most significant Chinese festivals, it is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar. This year, it falls on October 1st.
On this holiday, people in Taiwan usually get together with their families and friends to have barbecues, eat yummy moon cakes and pomelos, and spend time admiring the beautiful full moon.
There are also some interesting legends about this festival. The most famous one is about Chang’e, a beautiful woman who takes elixir on the night of a full moon on August 15, flies off onto the moon and lives in the cold Moon Palace.
